The Career Academy serves as the regional hub for career and technical education, proudly supporting students from 17 partner high schools through 24 diverse and industry-aligned career and technical education (CTE) pathways. This model is designed to prepare the next generation for success in college, careers and beyond.

Our purpose
The Career Academy is dedicated to preparing students for success by combining practical industry experience with rigorous academic programs. Our instructors bring real-world expertise and guide students in earning valuable certifications and college credits. Through strong partnerships with over 250 local businesses and community organizations, students gain opportunities for internships and mentorships that can lead to meaningful careers. They also develop professional networks and hands-on skills by working with cutting-edge equipment and emerging technologies. As an early college designated school, we provide pathways for students to earn associate degrees during high school, giving them a significant advantage as they continue their educational and career journeys. Our mission is to equip every student with the tools, knowledge and connections needed to thrive in college, career and beyond.

What Sets Us Apart
Every Career Academy teacher brings years of industry experience; we are not traditional teachers. Our instructors have all earned the certifications they now help students to achieve. From automotive, to construction and cosmetology, their firsthand knowledge ensures that students receive practical, real-world insights alongside their academic learning.
We also have over 250 industry and community partners who work alongside our teachers weekly to support talent development. Along with their expertise, these partners often provide funding for experiences and materials that help advance our students.
Additionally, we are an early college designated school, where students have the opportunity to earn an associate degree during high school through Ivy Tech. We also partner with the University of St. Francis (USF) and Vincennes University for higher education opportunities.
