Meet the Principal

Dr. Sandra Adams
It is my privilege to serve as both the Area Director of CTE for Allen County and the Principal of the Career Academy. Each year we serve nearly 1,000 students, helping them develop the technical skills needed to compete for high-wage careers upon graduation or to advance their education while still in high school.
I am honored to work alongside top area administrators, dedicated assistants and highly qualified teachers, many of whom were once industry experts themselves. Every Career Academy lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to advance student learning and provide the highly engaging classroom environment students crave today.
Our school’s mission is to serve as the talent pipeline for Allen County and we do this quite well. We partner with over 250 area organizations that work hand in hand with our teachers and students to provide unique and meaningful learning opportunities.
Career and Technical Education is in the spotlight for a reason. We have a long-standing record of success in helping students earn certifications, credentials of value, dual credits and gain work-based learning experiences that often lead directly to employment after graduation.
This fall marks my 30th year in education and there has never been a more exciting time to lead a CTE team. Learning and teaching are two of my greatest passions in life. Of course, my greatest passion is my family. My husband and I have raised three beautiful daughters and now have a family of ten. My grandchildren Chloe and Brennan, along with our puppy Millie, keep me busy in my spare time.
