* Please Note: The above program is a year-long and meets Next Level Programs of Study requirements.  There is an opportunity for a second year, capstone course within the program. 

COLLEGE CREDIT & CERTIFICATIONS

Students have opportunity to earn college credits through Ivy Tech and industry certifications including the Pro Start National Certificate of Achievement and ServSafe Certification.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this program, students will learn of a variety of topics to prepare them for a wide spectrum of careers in the food and hospitality industry. Such topics include basic baking theory and skills, pastry arts, nutrition, food preparation, cost control, food safety, culinary math, and principles of purchasing, storage, and preparation of food and food products.
