From construction to biomedical to artwork, welding skills can lead to a variety of careers. With hands-on education and co-op job placements available, you’ll be able to jumpstart your welding career.

* Please Note: The above program is a year-long and meets Next Level Programs of Study requirements.  There is an opportunity for a second year, capstone course within each program as well. 

COLLEGE CREDIT & CERTIFICATIONS

Students have the opportunity to earn college credits through Ivy Tech and industry certifications including AWS certified welder.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Welding

Students will work in one of our 14 welding booths, developing skills in tig, arc, mig, and stick welding.  Students will learn the properties of metals, safety issues, how to read blueprints, welding symbol, plasma cutting, and electrical principles.
